Social Work Initiative
A mobile library brings books, learning resources, and dedicated teaching support to children in under developed areas of Delhi and Gurgaon who have limited access to libraries and educational resources.
Gyan Gaadi
Library on Wheels — because a child's postcode shouldn't decide their access to books.
In many areas of Delhi-Ncr, access to books and learning resources can be limited. Gyan Gaadi is a mobile learning initiative that brings books, knowledge, and learning activities closer to children in those areas. With the support of teachers and volunteers, children get an opportunity to read, learn, and explore new ideas in a familiar environment. The aim is simple — to make learning more accessible, engaging, and enjoyable for every child.
Gyan Gaadi follows a simple and practical approach to make books more accessible to children in these communities. We provide books and reading materials to government schools and learning centres, where children can read, explore new subjects, and learn together. After a period of use, the books are collected back, restocked, and made available for the next group of children..
One Route, Four Stops
The journey is the whole idea — built to repeat, not to be a one-time event.
Depart From Base
The Gyan Gaadi is restocked with books and sets out for serving early in the day.
Arrive At The Location
The vehicle parks centrally, the awning and shelf fold out, and children gather.
Teach & Read Together
The teacher runs a reading session, helps kids pick books, and answers questions.
Return & Restock
Books go back on the shelf, the route log is updated, and the next stop is planned.
